Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Production Manager.\nJob Location: Attleboro, MA\nThe Production Manager organizes, implements, optimizes, and monitors production operations to ensure that deadlines, cost objectives, and quality standards are consistently achieved.\nReporting to the Senior Manager of Operations, this role manages the human, material, and technical resources within the production department. The Production Manager supervises production supervisors ensuring disciplined execution of the production plan and alignment with site priorities.\nThe role is focused on daily execution, workforce leadership, productivity optimization, and structured escalation within the framework defined by Operations leadership. Pay is $90k-$110k\nWhat you will be doing:\nCore Responsibilities\n1. Production Operations Execution\nOrganize, implement, and monitor product manufacturing activities within production departments.\nSupervise production progress and ensure adherence to the daily and weekly production schedule.\nOrganize production priorities based on planning requirements.\nImplement actions to achieve production objectives and anticipate short-term production needs in line with the schedule.\nMonitor delays, productivity, yields, and scrap; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.\nManage material, technical, and human resources to adapt capacity to workload.\nOptimize organization and productivity of the production process to improve throughput and efficiency.\nDefine and coordinate necessary external interventions (maintenance, infrastructure, IT support, etc.) impacting production flow.\nEscalate systemic constraints, risks, or performance gaps to the Senior Manager of Operations.\n2. Resource & Capacity Management\nAlign labor allocation with workload fluctuations.\nCoordinate overtime and staffing adjustments as needed.\nEnsure proper material flow and readiness within production areas.\nParticipate in equipment specification discussions and provide production input on capital or process investments.\nSupport installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new equipment.\n3. Continuous Improvement & Industrial Organization\nImplement and support new industrial organization methods within production.\nDrive improvements in workflow, setup efficiency, and floor organization.\nConduct workstation and 6S audits: planning, execution, and follow-up of corrective actions.\nContribute to updating and maintaining technical documentation and work instructions.\nSupport Lean initiatives deployed by Operations leadership.\nMake structured improvement suggestions and participate in implementation.\n4. New Product & Equipment Launch Support\nSupport production launch of new products and new equipment.\nEnsure production readiness and workforce preparedness for process changes.\n5. Team Leadership & Development\nSupervise production supervisors and some lead operators.\nConduct interviews, performance reviews, and administrative follow-up.\nLead team meetings and reinforce production priorities.\nCommunicate company strategy and policies, both individually and collectively.\nDevelop employee skills and promote workforce versatility.\nProvide direct support to teams and contribute to structured problem-solving using the escalation process.\nMaintain strong floor presence and reinforce accountability, safety, and process discipline.\n6. Quality, Safety & Compliance\nEnsure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements within production.\nMaintain audit readiness across production workstations.\nReinforce compliance with documented procedures and safety standards.\nWhat you will bring along:\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field required.\nMinimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment required.\nMinimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations role required.\nExperience managing production teams through frontline supervisors and lead personnel required.\nStrong working knowledge of production scheduling, labor planning, productivity improvement, scrap/yield management, and daily performance execution required.\nExperience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methods preferred.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 required; exposure to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.\nExperience supporting new equipment implementation, process changes, and production ramp-up activities preferred.\nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
