Vishay Newport, UK is currently seeking applicants for a Semiconductor Process Design and Integration Engineer for our Silicon Carbide development.\nResponsible for: As a Semiconductor Process Design and Integration Engineer SiC, you will contribute to the success of Vishay through working together with a talented staff of engineering professionals to develop and enable innovative wide bandgap semiconductor technology to realize the next generations of Vishay’s proprietary power device product portfolio.\nJob Location:\nThis position is located Newport, UK.\nWhat you will be doing:\nDesign and Simulation of fabrication process flow of the advanced SiC Power MOSFET.\nDevelop the PCM/TEG structures for monitoring and evaluation of the fabrication process.\nDefine and develop specifications of unit processes and coordinate their development with fab process team.\nPerform electrical characterization on SiC power semiconductor devices and the related PCM/TEG structures on the wafer.\nAnalyze data from device and TEG structures to extract key device parameters, including but not limited to gate oxide thickness and QBD, interface charge density, channel mobility, etc.\nDevise process experiments for process window optimization and improving the manufacturing yield.\nWhat you will bring along:\nA PhD or Masters-level degree in semiconductor device/material physics.\nAt least 10 years of post-graduation experience in the field of power semiconductor technology.\nExperience in leading development projects throughout the fabrication process integration, simulation and characterization, with the ability to apply project management best practice methodology.\nRich experiences in TCAD simulation for power semiconductor devices, especially WBG semiconductor, are required. Knowledge of software tools for characteristic analysis of process, i.e. MATLAB, MathCAD.\nKnowledge in semiconductor material for application in power semiconductor devices is desirable.\nExcellent problem-solving skills - able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assesses viable solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans.\nAbility to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.\nEffective communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.\nExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues and be able to foster collaborative relationships.\nYou will have a comprehensive, demonstrable background in power semiconductor materials / semiconductor device physics, and / fabrication process. You will approach tasks in a logic-based way, along with having the ability and motivation to develop novel and creative ideas.
