This position will support the maintenance and growth of these programs.\nThe role will assist the VPS senior program manager and government managers and technical subject matter experts with schedule management, financial tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and program deliverables to ensure successful program execution in support of mission requirements. Strong candidates will have robust organizational and planning skills, including strong project management fundamentals, are highly self-motivated and creative thinkers, and are able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDuties include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSupervise/oversee staff, ensure milestones, and project execution occurs in alignment with program and contract requirements. \nCoordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as engineering, logistics, contracts, and academic partners to ensure alignment with program objectives. \nMonitor program performance, deliverables, funding status, and task execution. \nSupport budget tracking, scope of projects, labor forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and financial reporting activities. \nPrepare status reports, executive summaries, and briefing materials for government leadership. \nTrack program risks, issues, and mitigation plans. \nEnsure compliance with applicable Navy and DoD/DoW policies and procedures. \nMaintain strong customer relationships and provide responsive support to government stakeholders. \nLaboratory test plan development \nConduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results \nIdentify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems \nField investigation\nData analysis \nTechnical writing \nOther programmatic duties as assigned. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field. \nAt least 3-6 years of program management, project management, engineering management, or defense contracting experience. \nMust have 1+ years of supervisory experience. \nAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. \nStrong understanding of program/project management concepts and tools (e.g., schedules, trackers, budgets, action items). \nMust be familiar with financial tracking such as budgets, spend plans, and earned value management. \nMust have strong written and verbal communication skills. \nMust have strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently and highly motivated. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project or Planner, and Teams) \nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. Requires US citizenship. \nMust be willing to work in various offices in the DMV, including Bethesda, MD; Olney, MD, and Washington, DC in order to meet customer requirements. \nDesired skills:\nCurrent Secret level security clearance is a plus. \nPMP or CAPM certification preferred but not required.\nExperience working with and supporting US Navy, Army, and/or US Marine Corps programs is highly desired. \nTechnical expertise in materials science/engineering (especially corrosion and coatings), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and military vehicles and ships is desired. \nExperience with data analysis and statistics is a plus. \nBenefits\nFull time employees with Vision Point Systems qualify for a generous benefits plan to include medical, dental, 1x your salary in life insurance, and short and long term disability.
