(VPS) is seeking a Senior Appian Developer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on technical and client-facing position for someone who can independently deliver complex Appian solutions while providing technical guidance to other members of the development team.\nYou will work directly with clients to understand business challenges, translate requirements into effective technical solutions, and support applications throughout the development lifecycle. Depending on the engagement, you may also lead a small development team or pod, conduct design and code reviews, establish development patterns, and mentor less-experienced consultants.\nAs Appian continues to expand its AI and automation capabilities, you will also have opportunities to work with emerging platform capabilities and help clients identify practical ways to incorporate AI into their business processes.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using the Appian platform. \nLead or provide technical direction to Appian development teams. \nWork directly with clients to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions. \nTranslate business requirements into application designs and technical specifications. \nDevelop Appian solutions using SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, Data Fabric, expression rules, integrations, AI, and related platform capabilities. \nDesign scalable and reusable application components and development patterns. \nConduct design and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers. \nTroubleshoot application, integration, data, and performance issues across development and production environments. \nDesign and implement integrations with databases, APIs, web services, identity providers, and other enterprise systems. \nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives. \nSupport testing, deployment, production releases, and post-production troubleshooting. \nMentor junior and mid-level Appian developers and reinforce development standards and best practices. \nContribute reusable components, technical documentation, delivery accelerators, and lessons learned across projects. \nExplore opportunities to incorporate Appian AI, intelligent document processing, automation, and other emerging platform capabilities into client solutions. \nRequirements\n3+ years of hands-on Appian application development experience and 5+ years of overall IT experience. \nAppian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer certification. \nStrong hands-on experience with SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, Data Fabric, expression rules, security, and integrations. \nStrong understanding of Appian development standards, reusable design, application security, performance, and scalability. \nExperience working in Agile delivery environments. \nExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB. \nExperience developing and consuming REST and/or SOAP web services and integrating Appian with external enterprise systems. \nAbility to troubleshoot complex application, data, integration, and performance issues. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nExperience working directly with clients and communicating technical concepts and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and functional team members. \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. \nU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance. \nPreferred Qualifications\nAppian Certified Lead Developer. \nExperience serving as a technical lead or development pod lead. \nExperience with Appian AI capabilities, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled workflow automation. \nExperience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms. \nExperience with authentication and identity technologies including SAML, OAuth, LDAP, or Active Directory. \nDevSecOps, CI/CD, and configuration management experience. \nJava development experience. \nWindows or Linux server administration experience. \nUnderstanding of UX and user-centered application design. \nAutomated or manual software testing experience. \nExperience with data management, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence. \nActive or previously held U.S. security clearance. \nBenefits\nFull-time employees with Vision Point Systems qualify for a generous benefits package including:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance \nLife Insurance (1× annual salary) \nShort- and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with company matching \nPaid Training and Professional Development \nFlexible work hours (when project schedules permit) \nOpportunities for travel on engineering projects \nEqual Opportunity Employer.
