(VPS) is seeking Software Tester who verifies application quality and makes sure data arrives intact when systems move. You'll split your time between functional and regression testing on client applications and validating data migrations from legacy systems into new platforms, specifically Appian.\nYou'll work alongside developers, business analysts, and performance and automation engineers on client delivery teams. The role suits a detail-minded tester who is comfortable writing SQL and enjoys tracing a single wrong value back to its source.\nKey responsibilities\nSoftware Testing\n· Review requirements and user stories, then write clear test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.\n· Run functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing across web and low-code applications.\n· Log defects with clear reproduction steps, track them to closure, and retest fixes.\n· Contribute to automated regression suites and keep test data and environments ready for each cycle.\n· Report test progress, coverage, and risk to project leads in sprint ceremonies.\nData Migration Support\n· Help define the migration test strategy, including source-to-target mapping review and validation rules.\n· Profile source data to find duplicates, nulls, bad formats, and orphaned records before migration.\n· Write SQL queries to reconcile record counts, totals, and field-level values between source and target.\n· Validate transformation logic, data types, and referential integrity after each load.\n· Test migration scripts and ETL jobs in trial runs, including rollback and re-run scenarios.\n· Confirm migrated data behaves correctly in the target application's screens, rules, and reports.\n· Document reconciliation results and sign-off evidence for cutover decisions.\nRequirements\n2+ years of software testing or quality assurance experience.\nWorking SQL skills: joins, aggregates, and comparison queries across tables.\nAccessibility testing experience against WCAG 2.1 AA or Section 508, using screen readers and tools such as axe or WAVE.\nExperience writing test cases and logging defects in a tool such as Jira.\nUnderstanding of relational data concepts: keys, constraints, and data types.\nStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to finding root causes.\nClear written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders.\nBachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nContract requires US Citizenship. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain a public trust. \nPreferred qualifications\nHands-on testing experience with Appian or another low-code platform.\nPrior work on at least one data migration, conversion, or system consolidation project.\nFamiliarity with ETL tools or scripting (Python, PowerShell) for data comparison.\nExperience with test automation frameworks or testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar.\nExposure to Agile delivery and working on client-facing consulting teams.\nISTQB or Appian certification.\nBenefits\nFull-time employees with Vision Point Systems qualify for a generous benefits package including:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance \nLife Insurance (1× annual salary) \nShort- and Long-Term Disability \n401(k) with company matching \nPaid Training and Professional Development \nFlexible work hours (when project schedules permit) \nOpportunities for travel on engineering projects \nEqual Opportunity Employer.
