This full-time, hourly position will join the Tower and Fiber Drop crew(s) at Visionary Broadband, a division of Visionary Communications, Inc., one of the top service providers in the region.\nDuties and Responsibilities: \nUnderground Drop\nSafely and efficiently install underground cables in residential and commercial environments.\nUse best practices for installing underground wiring so as not to violate local building codes.\nOperate various trenching equipment such as a mini skid steer or walk beside trencher.\nLocate existing buried copper and fiber facilities and comply with 811 requirements (OneCall) before any digging projects, properly identifying other utility flags and safely working around other utilities.\nLoad reel trailers with strand, fiber or cable as required.\nBury cable and conduit systems, by operating blowing, plowing, digging, boring, and trenching equipment and pulling fiber and cable through conduit systems.\nOverhead Drop\nSafely and efficiently install overhead cables in residential and commercial environments.\nUse best practices for installing underground wiring so as not to violate local codes and regulations or customer specs.\nLoad reel trailers with strand, fiber or cable as required.\nHang overhead cable or strand using various methods including but not limited to a ladder, bucket truck, or gaffs.\nPull fiber and cable through conduit systems\nTower Technician\nInstall equipment on Tower\nAssembling electronic equipment in racks/cabinets, plumbing all RF, wiring\nTelecom Installation of RF/ground/power/telecommunications cabling.\nCompletion of client and company checklists, photos, and test results typically communicated to management (emails, uploads to FTP, Web Interface, etc.)\nMaintain network documentation with a very high level of accuracy\nCompleting work that is assigned while on 24-hour “on call” duty to resolve any tower-related or customer issues\n\nQualifications:\nA qualified candidate must possess the following skills, or have equivalent experience and/or qualifications:\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\nGood knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within proprietary computer applications.\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem solving abilities\nA valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle is preferred.\nFlexibility to work outside of standard 8am-5pm hours and be willing to travel on a weekly basis. \nMust be willing to travel within the region (Montana, Wyoming and Colorado) 70% of the time (hotels and per diem paid for out of town travel). Generally you will be home most weekends.\nPhysical Requirements:\nLift and carry up to and above 50 pounds.\nWork at Tower heights for the duration of a day.\nBe able to climb a ladder up to 40ft. \nUtilize fine motor coordination, clear speech, and good visual acuity.\nContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity\nMust meet and maintain 335lb weight limit \nContinually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl\nExposure to moving mechanical parts\nExposure to outside weather conditions\nVisionary is often on the cutting edge of new technology deployments and works in a multitude of different situations with many different entities.
