In this role, you will review daily scan results, help assign basic risk ratings, prioritize remediation activities, and create and track remediation tickets through resolution. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational cybersecurity or IT knowledge who enjoys organizing information, following up on action items, and helping reduce risk across the organization.\nPosition Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week). Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM\nCompensation Range: $23.00/hr. - $30.00/hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*\nLocation: On-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Endwell, NY.\nWhat You’ll Do\nMonitor daily results from vulnerability scanning tools and identify new, recurring, and critical vulnerabilities.\nApply basic risk ratings using defined scoring frameworks to help prioritize remediation activities.\nEscalate high-risk items to senior team members for prompt review and action.\nCreate clear, actionable remediation tickets and route them to the appropriate owners.\nTrack remediation progress, follow up on open items, and maintain accurate records of vulnerability status.\nSupport the preparation of vulnerability and remediation reports for internal stakeholders.\nCollaborate with team members and departments to support security, compliance, and organizational priorities.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nVulnerabilities are accurately documented, prioritized, and assigned for remediation.\nRemediation tickets are clear, complete, and followed through to resolution.\nHigh-risk vulnerabilities are escalated quickly and appropriately.\nInternal stakeholders receive timely updates and reliable information on vulnerability status.\nYou build strong working relationships while supporting Visions’ commitment to service, integrity, community, and trust.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nMinimum qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.\nBasic understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and networking fundamentals.\nBasic understanding of common vulnerability types, such as missing patches and misconfigurations.\nFamiliarity with CVSS scoring and patch management concepts at a foundational level.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.\nPreferred Experience\nBachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.\nExposure to vulnerability scanning tools.\nFamiliarity with ticketing systems.\nAt this time, Visions Federal Credit Union will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or offer any immigration related support for this position.\nMISSION AND VALUES\nOur mission is to MAKE VISIONS MATTER.\nTo our members, we will provide value and relevance.\nTo our employees, we will be a premier organization and provide opportunities for career advancement.\nTo our community, we will be a leader and provide a positive impact.\nAt Visions, we’re an organization with Integrity that builds Community, provides exceptional Service to all, and continually strives to earn your Trust.\nWe make Visions matter.
