This person will work closely with the Governor, Tribal Administrator, department directors, and staff to deliver exceptional human resources and operational services. Our clients include tribal governments and enterprises, municipalities, health care centers, non-profits and other community-oriented organizations.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide oversight of the Tribe's daily administrative and operational functions, with primary responsibility for Human Resources, organizational development, policy administration, and operational excellence.\nAdminister all Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, classification and compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy administration, benefits coordination, and workforce planning.\nSupport the Tribal Administrator to implement strategic initiatives, organizational priorities, and operational improvements.\nDevelop, implement, and evaluate operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.\nCoordinate cross-departmental projects and initiatives to ensure organizational goals are achieved.\nEnsure compliance with applicable Tribal, federal, and state employment laws and organizational policies.\nAdvise managers regarding employee performance, disciplinary actions, investigations, workplace conflict resolution, and employment matters.\nSupport the development and maintenance of job descriptions, compensation structures, organizational charts, and workforce planning initiatives.\nMaintain confidentiality of highly sensitive personnel and organizational information.\nEncourage a positive working relationship between departments, and the community at large.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field.\nFive (5) years of progressive experience in human resources, operations, organizational development, public administration, or similar work.\nA combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.\nTribal or government experience preferred.\nSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR, THRP, IPMA-HR or similar and relevant certification preferred.\nCharacteristics of Our Ideal Candidate\nAbility to perform work independently, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in a primarily remote environment.\nStrong team orientation with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to support team members in accomplishing tasks.\nOpen and collaborative communication style.\nKnowledge of human resources principles and practices.\nFamiliarity with recruitment strategies and workflows, including experience writing job postings, as well as filtering, interviewing and recommending job candidates for selection.\nDemonstrated skill in managing administrative details with a high degree of quality.\nIllustrated customer service experience and the ability to represent the organization with the utmost professionalism.\nExperience adapting to shifting priorities, timelines and deadlines.\nDesire to advance in the HR field through mentorship and shadowing of higher-level human resources professionals and subject-matter experts.\nKnowledge employment law and regulatory compliance;
