Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures.\nInstall, replace, and program televisions.\nPerform minor plumbing functions.\nReplace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units. \nTroubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.\nPerform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis and complete work orders as necessary; keep accurate records of PM’s on all rooms and equipment.\nMaintain the building exterior and “curb appeal” of entire hotel grounds\nRefurbish, paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.\nTest, examine, and maintain hotel’s life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times.\nMaintain repair and preventive maintenance records and coordinate compliance of service contracts.\nPerform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.\nBe aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.\nFollow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.\nPractice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.\nPerform other duties as requested by management.\nPosition Requirements\nHigh School diploma and/or trade school course work in related field preferred.\nPrevious supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required or equivalent training.\nCertifications may be required.\nHVAC certification is required. \nWork Environment and Context\nWork schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or alternate shifts.\nRequires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.\nWhat We Believe\nPeople Are Our Capability - Hearts That Serve - Only Excellence - Stay Nimble - Own It\nAbout Us\nConveniently situated in Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood, Hotel 48LEX offers a sophisticated guesthouse experience in the atmosphere of a residentially-styled, upscale boutique hotel.
