You'll work hands-on across the full analytics stack - from modelling and transformation to dashboards and stakeholder-facing analysis - turning raw, Group-wide data into trusted, well-governed models that power decision-making across the organisation.\nThis is an AI-heavy role: you'll be expected to use AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow - not just for writing SQL faster, but for documentation, testing, code review, data modeling design discussions, and increasingly, building AI-assisted or agentic data workflows. We want someone who's genuinely curious about how AI changes the way analytics engineering gets done, with a habit of experimenting and bringing learnings back to the team - not just someone who tolerates it.\nWhat we expect from you:\nData modelling and transformation\nDesign, build, and maintain robust dimensional data models and transformation pipelines using SQL and dbt in BigQuery\n\nProfile, clean, and verify data before publishing; write and maintain dbt tests to guarantee quality\n\nContribute to the design and adoption of a semantic/metrics layer for consistent, governed self-service analytics\n\nMonitor pipeline observability and alerts, troubleshoot failures, and actively reduce technical debt\n\nAnalysis and insight\nBuild and maintain trustworthy, user-friendly dashboards in Data Studio\n\nPerform descriptive, diagnostic, and statistical analyses to surface patterns, operational bottlenecks, and strategic opportunities\n\nPartner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders across the group to define consistent metrics and reusable data models\n\nAdvise colleagues on analytics best practices\n\nAI-assisted development and analytics\nUse Claude and other AI tools extensively - for code generation, review, documentation, debugging, and testing\n\nExplore and pilot AI-driven approaches to analysis, such as natural-language querying over the semantic layer, and agentic data workflows\n\nHelp shape responsible AI adoption in the team: evaluate tools, share what works, and ensure AI-generated code and outputs meet the same quality, security, and governance standards as everything else\n\nExercise sound judgment about AI-generated output - verify rather than trust, and keep data privacy and confidentiality front of mind\n\nWays of working\nWork as a developer in a Scrum team, using Git/GitHub, code review, and CI/CD workflows\n\nRefine user stories and requirements with the Data Product Manager into technical specifications and deliverables\n\nMaintain technical documentation and release traceability; log bugs and improvement ideas in Jira\n\nContribute to continual process improvement\n\nGovernance and security\nEnsure data models and transformations follow established data governance standards, with strict separation of development, test, and production environments\n\nApply access control, data classification, and data handling protocols, including proper treatment of personal data (PII) and confidential financial and operational records in line with GDPR\n\nWhat you bring to the table:\nExperience working as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role focused on data modelling and visualisation.\n\nAdvanced SQL knowledge and solid, hands-on experience with dbt.\n\nPractical experience with a major cloud platform (GCP) and a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery).\n\nExperience with Data Studio or similar BI visualisation tools.\n\nComfort with Git/GitHub workflows (branching, PRs, code review).\n\nAnalytical and statistical skills for data profiling, verification, and problem solving.\n\nHands-on experience building and maintaining dbt projects - models, tests, documentation, and macros - in a production environment.\n\nGenuine, active experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) in a technical workflow - able to speak concretely about how you use them, not just that you have.\n\nHigh attention to detail, a proactive approach to risk, and a commitment to data security.\n\nAdaptability to changing demands and expectations.\n\nExcellent written and spoken English.\n\nBonus Points (Nice to Have):\nExperience in a large, multi-product organization with distributed data ownership\n\nFamiliarity with data governance, data contracts, or semantic/metrics layer tooling\n\nInterest in exploring agentic AI workflows for data engineering tasks\n\nExperience with Python for auxiliary tooling or automation\n\nWhat you can expect from us:\nIn our nordic-inspired work environment, we appreciate flexibility, autonomy, and a collaborative spirit.
