We want to make it super easy for everyone to run a business through automation of financial services, accounting, payments and taxes.\nOur mobile app is an important part of the Bokio experience, enabling customers to manage their business on the go.\nWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to strengthen our mobile engineering capability and take a leading role in maintaining and evolving the technical foundations of our mobile app.\nIn this role, you will take ownership of our React Native application while strengthening the platform, architecture, tooling, and engineering practices that make mobile development reliable, sustainable, and enjoyable for other engineers.\nYou'll work closely with multiple product teams as they build mobile functionality, not as a member of a product trio but as the platform expert who helps make mobile delivery faster and safer. Within the team, you will take primary responsibility for the infrastructure and technical foundations of our mobile application.\n\nYou will take a leading role in developing, maintaining, and evolving our React Native app across iOS and Android.\n\nYou will maintain and evolve our mobile architecture, tooling, dependencies, and development environment, ensuring the platform remains reliable, maintainable, and easy to work with.\n\nYou will enhance the mobile developer experience and enable engineers across our product teams, including those without deep mobile expertise, to confidently build and deliver mobile features.\n\nYou will collaborate with product teams when designing and delivering mobile functionality.\n\nWhat we expect from you:\nYou have deep expertise in mobile application development and hands-on experience with mobile development infrastructure.\n\nYou genuinely care about improving both the developer experience (DX) and end-user experience (UX).\n\nYou see AI-assisted development as a lever for developer enablement, not just personal productivity.\n\nYou are comfortable going deep into infrastructure, tooling, and automation to enable engineers without deep mobile expertise to confidently build and deliver mobile features.\n\nYou enjoy collaborating across teams, sharing knowledge, and helping other engineers deliver mobile features while staying hands-on when needed.\n\nYou think critically about the technologies and approaches you use, evaluate trade-offs, and make informed, pragmatic decisions.\n\nYou are proactive and autonomous, continuously identifying opportunities to improve the mobile platform, developer experience, and end-user experience.\n\nYou have a curious, growth-oriented mindset and are always looking for opportunities to learn and improve.\n\nYou’re a strong communicator, confident in both spoken and written English.\n\nWhat you bring to the table:\nYou are highly skilled in mobile application development, tooling, and architecture, with strong proficiency in React Native and TypeScript, experience maintaining and integrating native modules, and a deep understanding of the React Native and Expo ecosystem.\n\nYou have experience applying AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude Code) to improve developer velocity and code quality, particularly in lowering the barrier for engineers without deep mobile expertise to contribute.\n\nYou understand the end-to-end mobile application lifecycle, including development, testing, CI/CD, build, release, monitoring, and App Store and Google Play distribution.\n\nBonus Points (Nice to Have):\nYou have experience in a Tech Lead, Software Architect, or mentoring role.\n\nYou have proficiency in web frontend development, Azure Pipelines, MobX, C#, .NET, or SQL.\n\nYou have knowledge of accessibility best practices.\n\nYou have experience running a small business or familiarity with accounting, banking, or fintech.\n\nWhat you can expect from us:\nIn our nordic-inspired work environment, we appreciate flexibility, autonomy, and a collaborative spirit.
