And we're just getting started!\n\nWe run our own warehouses and build our own technology, so everything a customer experiences, from the first bid to the pickup counter, is ours to make better.\n\nThe Platform Team\n\nThe Platform Team is a group of engineers and product people across the US and Europe that owns the whole Vista Auction platform: the mobile app and website, the auction engine, the warehouse and pickup systems, and the internal tools and AI agents. It is led by our Head of Engineering, who works directly with the founder. An idea can ship and be measured in days.\n\nYou will join the team as a product designer, reporting to the Head of Engineering and owning product design across the platform. You set direction with the Head of Engineering and the founder, and you bring the voice of the customer into every product decision.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nOwn design for the mobile app and web app. Discovery, flows, prototypes and final specs for how bidding, winning, paying and pickup work.\n\nBring ideas for how auctions should work. Lot pages, bidding mechanics, notifications, scheduling and store credit are all open. Propose changes that move bids, repeat customers and pickup speed.\n\nBe the voice of the customer. Run usability tests, study behavior in the data, and turn it into journey maps and clear recommendations.\n\nWork with engineers from the first sketch. Shape requirements, keep designs buildable, and review what ships against what you designed.\n\nTest and iterate. With tens of thousands of sales a day, a change shows up in the numbers within a week.\n\nOwn the design system. A shared component library for iOS, Android and web that meets WCAG.\n\nPresent your work. Explain design decisions to engineering and leadership, and change them when the evidence says to.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nMust have:\n\nA portfolio of end-to-end case studies on shipped products. This is the main thing we screen on.\n\n2 to 5 years of product design experience (P2), or 5+ years owning a product area (P3), on consumer mobile and web.\n\nFigma (or functional equivalent) proficiency.\n\nHands-on user research: interviews and usability tests you ran yourself.\n\nDesign system and accessibility (WCAG) experience.\n\nYou write your own briefs and specs and work directly with engineers.\n\nFluency with iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.\nNice to have:\n\nMarketplace, e-commerce or auction products.\n\nMaze or UserTesting; Amplitude, Mixpanel or FullStory.\n\nBasic HTML/CSS or React, enough to prototype in code.\n\nDesigning AI-assisted features.\n\nA degree in design or HCI, or equivalent experience.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nThe whole product is yours to shape.
