This role is ideal for someone with strong BA fundamentals and a good understanding of APIs, data, and platform-based systems.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nSupport discovery, scoping, and requirements gathering for integration and API-driven initiatives\nWork with product, engineering, and other SMEs to clarify integration use cases and data requirements\nContribute to defining API requirements, data mappings, and user stories\nAssist in analysing data to ensure it is exposed in a clear and usable way via APIs\nSupport the definition of integration flows between Vista systems and external platforms (e.g. partners, third-party services)\nCapture and document non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability\nFacilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of requirements\nProduce clear and structured artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and documentation\nRequirements\nAbout you\nProven experience gathering and documenting requirements relating to software delivery APIs and integrations\nStrong analytical thinking and ability to break down problems into structured solutions\nConfident communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nComfortable working in evolving environments and adapting to new problem areas\n Technical and domain capabilities\nGood understanding of APIs and integration concepts (REST or similar)\nExposure to working with data structures or databases\nUnderstanding of how systems interact and integrate, even at a high level\nAwareness of non-functional requirements such as security and performance\nCore skills\nStrong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile teams\nAbility to clearly communicate requirements and work through feedback with engineering teams\nGood stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills\nStructured approach to requirement gathering, documentation, and validation\nWhat success looks like\nDeliver clear, well-structured requirements that enable engineering teams to build effectively\nDevelop a strong understanding of APIs, data, and integrations over time\nProactively identify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements or data\nContribute to building solutions that are consistent and reusable where possible\nGrow into thinking about platform and integration design, supported by senior team members\nFor this particular role, we are currently only considering applicants with the right to live and work in New Zealand without the need for employer sponsorship.\nAbout Vista\nVista is a world-leading company that makes software for the cinema industry.
