Testability and Continuous Integration are very important to us, and we have great test coverage. You'll need to be able to work well in an autonomous and diverse environment while being able to prioritise effectively.\nAbout the role\nMotivate and lead the team, encouraging, guiding and directing Engineers in your squad, assisting them to become self-organised and to take ownership\nFoster an environment of continuous improvement, sharing ideas, learnings and technologies with the team to help inspire, foster and encourage innovation\nSupport team members’ learning and growth, and lead by good example\nWork with the Engineering Manager to encourage healthy team collaboration and communication processes such as code reviews, test shares, design discussions etc...\nHelp guide a team of Engineers to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions, acting as a Lead Engineer in the delivery of quality software architecture and code\nAssist the Engineering Manager with technical interviews, selection, induction and mentoring of new team members, ensuring they are well integrated, trained and supported\nProvide employee reviews, support, team-building, and cross-squad communication, providing coaching and mentoring, and recommending additional training where necessary\nAct as a communication point to the team and other stakeholders communicating early when timeframes are at risk\nReport team progress to the Engineering Manager, and execute and helping refine the Strategic Objectives\nRequirements\nWe're looking for:\nWell-developed people management skills, with proven leadership experience in a Team Lead or similar role\nAbility to provide strong mentorship and establish and maintain key relationships with stakeholders\nProven experience in a senior level back end Software Engineer role\nTechnologies\nYou'll be working with:\nGolang\nPython\nTypescript\nPostgreSQL\nAWS\nKubernetes\nAbout Vista\nVista is a world-leading company that makes software for the cinema industry.
