This role will lead the design and development of advanced Wi-Fi Access Point platforms, focusing on WLAN features, embedded firmware, and security/policy frameworks.\nAs a senior technical leader, you will drive complex system-level initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable wireless solutions.\nHow You'll Help Us Connect the World:\nLead the design, development, and optimization of AP firmware and WLAN features across embedded Linux platforms\nDrive implementation of Wi-Fi security and authentication frameworks, including WPA/WPA3, 802.1x, and SAE-based flows\nContribute to development and integration of authentication and policy flows, including DPSK and RADIUS-based attributes\nEnsure consistency across WLAN-level configurations and per-client policy overrides\nLead debugging and root cause analysis of complex issues involving roaming, policy enforcement, and cross-platform behaviors\nCollaborate with teams across Controller, Cloud, QA, and PM to deliver end-to-end solutions\nMentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership, design reviews, and best practices\nRequired Qualifications for Consideration:\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\n5 + years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in networking or wireless systems\nStrong programming skills in C/C++ with solid understanding of system-level design\nStrong experience with Linux system development, debugging, and performance optimization\nDeep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and protocol stacks\nExperience with WLAN technologies, including 802.11 standards and security protocols (WPA/WPA3, 802.1x)\nHands-on experience with embedded systems and multi-threaded programming\nProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues\nYou Will Excite Us If You Have:\nExperience with Wi-Fi Access Point software development or wireless networking products\nFamiliarity with hostapd architecture and Wi-Fi stack internals\nExperience with AI Agent and AI development cycle.\nExperience working in cloud-managed or controller-based network architectures\n\nWhat Happens After You Apply:\nLearn how to prepare yourself for the next steps in our hiring process by visiting https://jobs.vistancenetworks.com/content/How-We-Hire/?locale=en_US\n\nWhy Join Us?\nVistance Networks shapes the future of communications technology, pushing past what is possible.
