Ensures high-quality design, modification, and testing of I&C and Digital systems while maintaining compliance with NRC requirements, NERC reliability standards, and Vistra governance. Coordinates with EPC partners, OEMs, and site engineering to deliver reliable, constructible, and safe I&C and Digital solutions that integrate seamlessly into plant infrastructure.Job Description\nKey Accountabilities\nLead the I&C and Digitalscope for EPU projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.\nDirect and review I&C and Digitalsystem designs, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NRC, NERC, and fleet standards.\nCoordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and site engineering to ensure compatibility and constructability of I&C and Digitalmodifications.\nSupport Owner’s Engineer and independent reviews to validate design quality, operability, and reliability.\nProvide technical leadership for resolving I&C and Digitalissues to maintain project and outage milestones.\nEnsure I&C and Digital designs support long-term operability, maintainability, and integration into the fleet’s systems.\nEducation, Experience, & Skill Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering discipline preferred \n10+ years of nuclear engineering or heavy industrial engineering with 5+ yrs in electrical systems design, modification, or major projects \nDirect experience with Extended Power Uprates, electrical upgrades, switchyard/grid integration, or equivalent $1B+ projects.\nStrong knowledge of NRC, INPO, IEEE, NERC, and ANSI codes and standards.\nDemonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering teams and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and site operations.\nExperience supporting regulatory submittals and addressing NRC/INPO or NERC compliance questions preferred.\nKey Metrics\nOn-time delivery of electrical design milestones.\nCompliance with NRC, INPO, IEEE, and NERC standards.\nMinimal corrective actions from audits and reviews.\nStrong coordination with EPCs, OEMs, and site engineering.\nReliable integration of electrical systems into plant operations.\nSuccessful completion of independent reviews with minimal corrective actions.\nEffective coordination between Project Leadership site engineering, Owner’s Engineer, and third parties.\nJob Family\nPlant OperationsCompany\nVistra Nuclear Operations CompanyLocations\nOak Harbor, OhioOhioWe are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
