This includes transmitters (pressure, level, temperature), analog PID control circuit boards, electromechanical relays, radiation monitors, power supplies, transformers, inverters, batteries, and nuclear system-specific control software.Job Description\nThe role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, supporting emergent issues, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.\nKey Accountabilities:\nSupport resolution of emergent, short-cycle, and near-term engineering work to protect the work week schedule.\nServe as engineering point of contact for execution of the online work week schedule and resolution of Engineering Holds.\nProvide engineering input and follow-up for Operability evaluations.\nDeliver engineering support for post-work testing and validation.\nConduct complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis (e.g., FMEA, confirm/refute).\nProvide technical input for testing procedures and analysis.\nSupport resolution of operating challenges.\nAssist with planning and provide support for emergent questions and in-field activities.\nPrepare and implement Minor Design Modifications.\nLead interpretation and analysis of complex technical issues.\nCoordinate assigned projects, studies, and initiatives through completion.\nComply with safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.\nPrepare and present technical reports with recommendations for issue resolution.\nParticipate in and occasionally lead special projects and committees.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nEducation, Experience, and Skill Requirements:\nB.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred), or other closely related scientific discipline/physical science associated with power plant operations; or equivalent work experience (defined as demonstrated success at the engineer/technical specialist level).\nPhysical ability and willingness to support plant walkdowns and inspections.\nProficiency in PC use, engineering-specific applications, and engineering drawing interpretation.\nMinimum of 2 years of related job experience preferred. At least 6 years preferred.**\nPrior experience in the nuclear industry is favorable.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex technical issues.\nAbility to influence and build effective working relationships across departments.\nIn-depth understanding of power plant equipment and system interrelationships.\nCapability to evaluate technical alternatives considering economic impact.\nSkilled in applying systematic problem-solving processes to address complex issues.\n** Candidates with all levels of education and experience are encouraged to apply.
