This full-time and permanent position reports to the Tax Director and is based in Dublin.\nPurpose of Role:\nIntegral member in the tax department managing the compliance service offerings in VISTRA’s corporate department and assisting in tax advisory projects. This role is ideally suited to a recently promoted experienced Tax Manager who enjoys combining technical compliance expertise with advisory work, client engagement and people leadership.\nScope\nThe firm’s client base is varied and diverse operating in a multitude of industries and jurisdictions.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage, review and complete a portfolio of corporation tax returns and related filings for corporate clients.\nAdvise on capital taxes affecting both corporate and personal clients, identifying relevant reliefs and planning strategies.\nProvide advice on capital gains tax matters, including research into available reliefs and tax-efficient planning opportunities.\nDeliver VAT and indirect tax advice on a range of client matters, including property-related transactions.\nPrepare ad hoc tax planning reports and advisory projects across multiple tax heads.\nResearch complex tax technical matters, including areas such as R&D tax credits and Interest Limitation Rules, ensuring clients receive clear and practical advice. \nManage, review and complete income tax and partnership tax returns for a private client portfolio.\nAssist with Revenue-related matters, including Compliance Intervention Notifications and Revenue enquiries.\nIdentifying cross selling opportunities within our compliance portfolio and referring same to the wider firm.\nRelevant Experience and Technical Skills\nCTA Qualified Tax Professional with a minimum 3 years post qualification experience within a taxation or accountancy practice environment.\nStrong technical knowledge of Irish corporate tax legislation with experience across all other tax heads.\nClient centric mindset and solutions-oriented approach.\nBe able to independently manage a portfolio of clients towards achieving deadlines.\nDemonstrated proficiency in presentation, client communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProficient IT skills, encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, ROS, and Teams/Zoom.\nDesirable\nExperience working with international businesses.\nto cross-border tax matters.\nKnowledge of tax technology and automation tools.\nBusiness development experience.\nIf you are excited about working with us, we encourage you to apply or have a confidential chat with one of our Talent Acquisition team members.
