To do this, we rely on a well-trained maintenance workforce, one you can be part of.\nReporting to the Mechanical Manager, we are looking for an intelligent enthusiastic person with an interest in mechanical work who enjoys working with their hands, to join our highly functional maintenance team. In this role you will learn to maintain all plant equipment and machinery within the site.\nHours: 35 hours per week | 9-day fortnight | Day shift | Monday to Friday\nWhat you will learn:\nComplete a 4-year Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. \nGain hands-on experience in preventative and planned maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repairs to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. \nWork alongside experienced tradespeople and develop skills across conveyors, utilities, compressors, palletisers, wrapping, bagging and strapping equipment. \nBuild practical trade skills in general machining, welding, oxy cutting and plasma cutting. \nLearn to use SAP to maintain maintenance records and support maintenance planning. \nGain exposure to high-risk work activities, including forklifts, confined spaces, EWPs, working at heights and hot works, with appropriate training. \nSupport Health, Safety & Environment initiatives and contribute to a safe workplace. \nGraduate as a qualified Mechanical Fitter with hands-on experience in world-class manufacturing equipment and strong career pathways within Visy. \nWhat we are looking for:\nCompleted Year 12 or equivalent with a good mathematic grade.\nGenuine interest in mechanical maintenance and manufacturing. \nMechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to learning. \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \nPositive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethics. \nWhat you’ll love when you join us:\nEmployee Benefits: Access to a range of health, wealth, and lifestyle services and discounts \nSupportive Environment: Join a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration \nCareer Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the company \nVisy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing, and recycling.
