This is a hands-on national role focused on protecting significant pallet investment, improving operational discipline, and embedding consistent, best practice pallet governance across multiple sites.\nThis is not an administrative pallet role. It suits someone who thrives on accountability, influence, and driving issues through to resolution.\nAbout the role:\nReporting to the National Logistics Manager, you will be the single point of accountability for national pallet control. Working across 50+ sites, you’ll stabilise the current pallet position, reduce financial exposure, and build a practical, disciplined pallet control framework that works on the ground. With no direct reports, success comes through credibility, persistence, and the ability to lead through influence.\nKey focus areas include:\nEstablish accurate, reliable visibility of pallet positions across the network\nIdentify root causes of pallet losses, variances and imbalances\nDrive corrective actions through to closure, enforcing timelines\nEmbed consistent pallet control standards, SOPs and practical training\nInfluence sites, partners and providers to lift compliance and discipline\nSurface risks, escalate issues and challenge behaviours when required\nDeliver clear, actionable insights through reporting and analysis\nAbout you:\nYou’re practical, assertive and outcome focused, comfortable saying “this is what needs to be done, when, and why.” You can work hands- on in operational environments and confidently engage senior stakeholders when escalation is needed.\nYou’ll bring:\nExperience in pallet control, logistics, transport, warehousing or 3PL environments\nProven ability to influence without direct authority\nKnowledge of pooled pallet systems (CHEP, Loscam or similar)\nStrong analytical skills with Excel; Power BI exposure desirable\nTenacity, resilience and discipline to follow issues through\nComfort working through ambiguity and building structure\nThis role suits someone who cares deeply about standards, accountability and doing things properly, and isn’t afraid of tough conversations.\nWhat you’ll love when you join us:\nSustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.\nSupportive Environment: Be part of a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration.\nCareer Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the company\nAbout Visy:\nVisy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling.
