The role combines workshop-based machine assembly and testing with onsite installation, commissioning and ongoing equipment servicing.\nThis is a varied opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys practical problem-solving, working with industrial technology and seeing projects through to completion.\nCandidates are encouraged to visit https://visy-tech.com/ to see the types of equipment and technologies you will be working with.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssemble, wire and test machines and automation systems in the workshop.\nSupport project planning, equipment ordering and Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).\nInstall and commission equipment, supporting customer handovers.\nPerform preventative maintenance and breakdown servicing.\nDiagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and industrial communication faults.\nProvide onsite and remote technical support to customers.\nMaintain accurate service reports, commissioning records and project documentation.\nCoordinate with internal teams and suppliers to support project timelines and resolve technical issues.\nWhat You Will Bring\nA trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automation or a related field.\nExperience in industrial equipment installation, commissioning, servicing or machine building.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.\nKnowledge of low-voltage wiring, industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and speed encoders.\nAn understanding of Ethernet networks and industrial communication systems.\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.\nThe ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to safety and quality.\nA current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across Victoria.\nWhat You’ll Love When You Join Us\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP).\nDiscounted health insurance.\nOption to purchase additional annual leave.\n12 weeks of paid parental leave.\nDiscounts on health and wellbeing products.\nNovated leasing and salary sacrifice options.\nContinued growth and development opportunities.\nAbout Visy\nVisy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling.
