COMPENSATION: The compensation range for this position is $85,000-$100,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Psychotherapy Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations for an assigned caseload of psychotherapists within our Psychotherapy team, who are placed on-site at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across our footprint. This role is ideal for a proven operations or business leader who understands the unique demands of a healthcare or clinical services environment. A clinical license is not required for this position-we're looking for someone who can run the business side of operations for their assigned psychotherapists while our licensed clinicians focus on resident care.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the Psychotherapy team, including staffing coverage, interviewing/hiring, scheduling, and workflow efficiency across assigned facilities
- Manage and support field-based psychotherapists and administrative staff, providing leadership, training, and performance oversight
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency, compliance, and quality of care
- Manage vendor relationships and team resources
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and privacy requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and facility partners to align operations with care standards and program growth goals
- Handle billing, insurance, and revenue cycle oversight in coordination with finance/billing staff
- Serve as a liaison between the psychotherapy team and skilled nursing/assisted living facility staff
- Support onboarding and credentialing of new clinicians and staff from an operational standpoint
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable systems as the team grows
Requirements
Required:
- Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, leading teams and overseeing operations
- Experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or other healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Preferred (not required):
- Familiarity with mental health, psychotherapy, or behavioral health practice operations
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, insurance billing, etc.)
- Located in or near Chicago, IL-this is a hybrid role combining in-person and remote work, and local candidates are preferred to accommodate on-site days
Not Required:
- A clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, psychologist, etc.) is not required for this role, as it is an operations/management position, not a clinical one
