Responsibilities will include assisting the senior members of the commercial team on numerous projects with the procurement, sub-contractor accounts and variation accounts.\nThe Company\n Vital Energi is a leading provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.\nWe have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK which are supporting the UK’s Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced £1 billion low-carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.\nWith plans to double our headcount over the coming years, supported by offices opening in new locations across the country and our strong investment pipeline, coupled with our expansion into new markets such as industrial power generation with our very own Energy-from-Waste facility, there is no better time to join the family here at Vital Energi.\nWhat you will be doing:\nVet contract documentation on receipt from client to ensure compatibility with the company’s tender and subsequent negotiations.\nPrepare and issue enquiries for major plant & equipment and sub-contract packages. Vet quotations commercially and negotiate price and terms with vendors. Issue resultant purchase orders and sub-contract orders.\nPrepare and submit applications for payment and/or Invoices, obtain payment certificates and progress client payments in accordance with contractual provisions.\nMeasure, submit and agree variations, loss & expense and/or compensation events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of final accounts.\nMonitor on-site record keeping. Prepare and issue notices in accordance with contractual provisions.\nPrepare/ submit monthly cost value reconciliations and cash/ spend profiles. Attend contract review meetings.\nMeasure, certify and agree sub-contractors interim valuations and final accounts. Prepare and issue contractual notices to sub-contractors.\nAssist the Finance Department in securing payment of invoices and/or applications for payment\nAssist the Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyors in the production of monthly CVR’s\nWho we are looking for:\nGood commercial awareness\nEducated to BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)\nMember of Profession Institution (e.g. MRICS or similar)\nHave knowledge and working experience of Mechanical / Electrical services, Construction, or Civils\nFull UK manual driving licence\nThe company is opposed to all forms of discrimination and will select for employment, training and promotion on the basis of suitability for the job and/ or merit.
