This is a hybrid role, with time spent working from home, on sites and in our offices. A thorough understandingof SQL databases is essential, ideally with experience of MySQL/ SQL databases in a database administrator role\nThe Graphics and Database Engineer will:\nWork alongside The ECS Software and Graphics Engineer and wider Team to develop front-end and touchscreen graphics pages in Aveva and Programmable Controller software packages.\n\nUnderstandthe fundamentals of, and apply fault-finding to, data communication. Perform diagnosis between errors in reporting and errors arising from hardware.\n\nFault-find and recreate lost/damaged CSV files and script new CSV files in supportof data transmission.\n\nSupportthe wider company with data requests. Providing supportfor the modelling consultants and external clients.\n\nDevelop an understandingof PLC alarm handling and communication of key data.\n\nDemonstrate safe working at all times and adhere to all RAMS and site working practices.\n\nComplete weekly timesheets, mileage & expense returns so costs are allocated to the correct contracts.\n\nCommunicate effectively through written reporting, Teams meetings and on-site meetings with the team and wider company.\n\nDesirable experience includes:\nconfiguring and implementing Server Applications.\n\nknowledge of SQL/ MySQL Server administration in a DBA role\n\nKnowledge of Windows Domains, DNS, VPN concepts\n\nExperience in MySQL database administration and replication techniques.\n\nExperience with database migration projects and a strong understandingof data migration\n\nSkills and Education:\n3 A Level’s grade C and above, preferably including maths, technology or electronics.\n\n8 GCSE’s grade C and above.\n\nDemonstrable experience with database basics and data handling.\n\nCSCS/ECS Skills card will be required for site work as soon as feasible.\n\nEngagement with the professional development process and setting of goals for continuous learning.\n\nA high level of proficiency in information technology.\n\nThe Company\nVital Energi is a major provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors.
