You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals on projects that have a positive impact on the environment and communities.\nAs a Planner at Vital Energi you will play a crucial role in the planning and programming of key engineering activities across a number of projects. You will have clear objectives and be supported with training which will develop your personal and professional skills along the way!\nThe Role\n Day to day you will be involved in:\nPreparation of bid/tender programmes working alongside our preconstruction teams\nDeveloping and maintaining project plans utilising project management software throughout the complete project life cycle\nRegular monitoring and updating of programmes to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget whilst identifying and reporting any deviations to the project team\nFulfilling contractual obligations including issuing of programmes, recording progress and tracking variations / compensation events\nIdentifying and assessing project risks including potential delays, costs and other challenges, whilst contributing to mitigation strategies\nCreating short term lookaheads to provide project teams with a focus on key areas/activities\nMaintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress packs, meeting minutes and other relevant documents, always ensuring proper document version control\nSupporting various business units nationally with occasional travel to office locations and sites as appropriate\nThe Person\nSkills/Experience\nKnowledge of construction detail and the installation and commissioning sequences of MEP Services\nUnderstanding of planning and scheduling techniques\nUnderstanding of project lifecycles from concept to handover\nProficiency in project management software Asta Powerproject\nRelevant contractual knowledge including use of standard forms of NEC and JCT contracts.\nRecognised qualification in a construction related field\nCompetencies\nSelf-motivated and willing to learn and adapt to new challenges faced\nAnalytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex construction projects\nDetail orientated with a high focus on accuracy and quality\nPassionate and takes pride in their work\nFlexible approach to managing workload with the ability to work to tight deadlines\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAble to work effectively as part of a team with the ability to collaborate with others\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft software packages including, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint\nFull UK driving licence\nApplications will be processed within 28 days of receipt.
