The successful candidate will provide technical and programmatic support, strengthen health systems, oversee field research, and support the design and monitoring of blood lead surveillance. The role involves collaborating with government officials, public health experts, research teams, and other stakeholders to improve environmental health and prevent childhood lead exposure.\n\nKey Responsibilities:Technical and Programmatic Support\nStakeholder Management\nData Management\nCommunication and Reporting\nOperations and Administration\n\nQualifications and Requirements:\r\n\nMaster's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Science, Biostatistics, Demography, Public Administration, or a related field.\n\nAt least 6–7 years of relevant experience in epidemiology, environmental health, global health, or program implementation.\n\nExperience designing or monitoring national health surveillance programs or managing large health-related surveys.\n\nExperience working with government health departments, regulatory bodies, and public health facilities.\n\nExperience using data analysis software such as R, Stata, SAS, or Excel, and/or visualization platforms such as Shiny or Tableau.\n\nExperience conducting training sessions and supervising small teams.\n\nAbility to manage 2–3 staff members and coordinate national-level stakeholders.\n\nStrong knowledge of public health systems, disease surveillance, and health and environmental risk assessment.\n\nExcellent organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nProfessional proficiency in English and the candidate's native language.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\n\nExperience managing complex data flows.\n\nExperience communicating scientific and health information to diverse audiences.\n\nFamiliarity with project management tools such as Monday or Airtable.\n\nWorking Conditions:\r\n\nFull-time remote position based in Kigali, Rwanda.\n\nOpen to Rwandan nationals and candidates with a valid Rwandan work/residence permit.\n\nEmployment through Vital Strategies'
