You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or new to the blood banking industry, we're here to train, mentor and help you grow.\nWhat to Expect\nSchedule: Sunday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm\nStarting Pay: $23.00 - $24.40 hourly, based on experience\nOur comprehensive total rewards support you, your family, and your future with:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401K + 5% company match\nTuition assistance up to $5k per year\nFree basic life and AD&D insurance\nFree short-and-long-term disability insurance\nPaid time off\nEmployee Resource Groups\nRecognition and perks\nAs a Hospital Distribution Technician you'll get to:\nReceive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.\nCommunicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.\nMaintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.\nMonitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.\nPlease note: This position in this location does not drive often.
