About you: The Senior Staff Engineer, Viking Design Transfer will spearhead the design transfer of a cutting-edge analytical IVD (in vitro diagnostics) instrument. This is a high-impact, on-site leadership role in a fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive mindset. As Senior Staff Engineer, you will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers from design transfer to manufacturing. You will play a central role in ensuring the technical integrity of the instrument while balancing complex and often competing requirements from software, consumables, product design, and manufacturing stakeholders. What you'll do: Lead and mentor a team of mechanical and electrical engineers in the design transfer of an analytical IVD instrument into procurement and manufacturing. Own end-to-end responsibility for the hardware design transfer under tight timelines, ensuring manufacturing and operations teams are successful in their timelines to deliver instruments through R&D and NPI.
