Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.\nThe European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.\nTelespazio BeNeLux has an on-site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we are looking fora highly skilled Senior Small Satellites Engineer to work there.\nCandidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration\nWhat is expected from you:\nSmall Satellites Systems Engineering Support to In Orbit Technology Demonstration Projects\n\n Support the activities of the section for In-Orbit Technology Demonstration Projects based on Small Satellites\nProviding system engineering support, contributing throughout all the projects’ development phases and lifetime\nAssisting in system architectures and concepts of operations’ definition\nAssisting in system’s and satellite subsystems’ design definition activities\nAssisting in requirement management including definition of system technical requirement and reviewing requirements flow-down from Space Segment System to subsystems/units, including interfaces, and help maintain requirement traceability and the requirements database / VCD\nSupporting identification of main system drivers for design, evaluation, and trade studies, and assist project design trade-off discussion\nContributing to the consolidation and tracking of system budgets across the project life-cycle to support compliance checks.\nSupporting the qualification and acceptance test and verification activities, at system, subsystem and elementary levels\nAssisting in identification of technical risks and elaboration of mitigation actions, with monitoring of risks’ evolution and impact on schedules and performances\nInterfacing with engineering disciplines and PA/QA functions in support of the system engineering function\nSupporting interactions with projects’ external interfaces, e.g. launch services providers, flight operations segment function, missions’ output users’ communities’ and related ground segments’ development functions\nContribution to the implementation of end-to-end mission performance simulators and mission performance models\nProviding support for launch preparation activities, launch, LEOP and in-orbit commissioning activities\nAssisting in the technical monitoring of industrial activities, including preparation of and participation to meetings and reviews, upon nomination of the service manager, in the system engineering and AIT/AIV domain\nWhat you offer:\nMaster's degree in Physics or Engineering.\nExperience in participating to reviews\nExperience with procurement and technical monitoring of industrial activities\nExperience with Space Engineering Standards and their preparation and implementation\nKnowledge of Space Missions and Spacecraft Systems Design\nUnderstanding of space systems architectures\nSystems Engineering in the early project phases (trade-offs, budgets, identification of critical technology developments, etc)\nWhat we offer:\nA competitive salary\n30 days of paid annual leave, plus the days ESTEC is closed including public holidays (~12 days) based on a 40-hour working week;\nHybrid working scheme (3 days in the office and 2 days remote in the Netherlands)\nFlexible working hours; you are in charge of your own agenda respecting core working hours\nFully paid collective extensive health insurance scheme;\nA good pension scheme with no personal contribution;\nA career development (Coursera membership + training budget);\nTravel allowance;\nExtensive relocation package\nWhere:\nYou will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio BeNeLux.
