Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.\nThe European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.\nTelespazio BeNeLux has an on-site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we will soon be looking for a highly skilled SustainabilitySystemEngineer to work there.\nCandidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration\nWhat is expected from you:\nSystems Engineering for Space Sustainability\nProvide systems engineering support and consultancy to ESA projects, programmes and studies, including the areas of concern to space Sustainability and throughout all the project phases.\nSupport project reviews and evaluation of proposals.\nDevelop and promote sustainability considerations and infuse them into projects.\nParticipate in feasibility studies conducted in the CDF, in the role of Sustainability expert.\nDevelop and improve tools and methods for injecting sustainability considerations in early assessment studies.\nContribute to the definition and implementation of the ESA technology strategy and support the definition of R&D work plans.\nEnsure the promotion, coordination, follow-up and selection of technology activities.\nDefine, initiate and support R&D activities under ESA's technology programmes.\nMonitor scientific and technological trends for sustainability engineering and maintain corresponding state-of-the-art expertise.\nContribute to the improvement of standardisation in sustainability engineering, via ESA internal processes and lessons learned, and by liaising with the ECSS Authority.\nContribute to the promotion of sustainability engineering across the Agency and its partners.\nContribute to the capture and dissemination of knowledge and lessons learned across the Agency.\nWhat you offer:\nMaster's degree in the relevant field.\nKnowledge and experience in Sustainability Engineering topics (Clean Space,\nZero Debris, Eco-Design, Space Circular Economy, Active Debris Removal, InOrbi Servicing).\nKnowledge and experience with environmental regulations, such as REACh and RoHS.\nWhat we offer:\nA competitive salary\n30 days of paid annual leave, plus the days ESTEC is closed including public holidays (~12 days) based on a 40-hour working week;\nHybrid working scheme (3 days in the office and 2 days remote in the Netherlands)\nFlexible working hours; you are in charge of your own agenda respecting core working hours\nFully paid collective extensive health insurance scheme;\nA good pension scheme with no personal contribution;\nA career development (Coursera membership + training budget);\nTravel allowance;\nExtensive relocation package\nWhere:\nYou will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio BeNeLux.
