Vitu has offices in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.\nJob Summary\nThe Information Security Analyst I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the organization’s cybersecurity operations. This position focuses on monitoring security systems, analyzing alerts, assisting with incident response, and helping maintain the organization’s overall security posture. The analyst works closely with senior team members to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience in security operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nSecurity Monitoring & Analysis\nMonitor security tools for example: —--------- for suspicious activity.\nTriage alerts and escalate potential incidents to senior analysts.\nPerform initial investigation and documentation of security events.\nCreating tickets for the PMO/Dev teams to remediate vulnerabilities.\nIncident Response Support\nAssist in responding to security incidents, including containment and remediation activities.\nCollect and preserve evidence for analysis.\nHelp document incident reports and lessons learned.\nVulnerability Management\nSupport vulnerability scanning and tracking remediation efforts.\nValidate fixes and assist with the reporting on risk levels.\nAccess & Identity Support\nAssist with User Access reviews and identity/access management tasks.\nMonitor for unusual account activity or privilege escalation.\nCompliance & Documentation\nHelp maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation\nSupport audits and compliance initiatives aligned with standards such as: ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and SOC2\nSecurity Awareness\nSupport employee security awareness initiatives (e.g. phishing simulations, training, campaigns)\nHelp track participation and effectiveness metrics.\n\nMinimum Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related, or equivalent training/certifications.\n0-2 years experience in IT, cyber security, or related fields (internships count)\nBasic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principals.\nCompTIA Security Cert a Plus\nFamiliarity with security tools and concepts (SIEM, Firewalls, endpoint protection).\n\nCompensation \n\nThe hourly range for this position is: $25-28/hr\n\nThe final pay for this position will be determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, location, education, experience, training and skills.\n\nAt Vitu, our engaged workforce is the key to our success.
