For our clients, network reliability is critical-every outage impacts business operations and revenue.\nPosition Overview\nThe Network Sales Engineer supports the sales team by owning the technical pre-sales process. This role bridges Sales, Project Coordination, and Engineering by translating client requirements into the appropriate network solution.\nYou'll become an expert in Vivant's standardized network packages, determine the right solution for each prospect, coordinate technical cost analysis, recommend the best ISP options, and prepare proposals for the sales team.\nInitially, you'll join client meetings to answer technical questions. As Account Executives become more comfortable handling technical discussions, your involvement shifts toward behind-the-scenes solution design and proposal preparation.\nThis position is ideal for someone who understands networking fundamentals, enjoys structured and repeatable processes, and wants to build a long-term career in technical sales.\nKey Responsibilities\nDiscovery & Requirements Gathering\nParticipate in discovery calls alongside the sales representative.\nUnderstand the client's business, technical requirements, pain points, number of locations, and project goals.\nDocument all technical and business requirements accurately.\nSolution Design\nMatch client requirements with Vivant's standard network packages.\nDetermine the appropriate:\nFirewall\nSwitches\nWireless Access Points (WAPs)\nNetwork sizing\nHardware quantities\nRecommend solutions based on facility size, user count, and device requirements.\nCost Analysis Coordination\nSubmit project requirements to Project Coordinators.\nCoordinate completion of cost analysis.\nReview completed analyses for accuracy and completeness.\nISP Selection\nEvaluate available Internet Service Provider (ISP) options.\nRecommend the best-fit ISP based on:\nClient requirements\nBudget\nAvailability\nReliability\nProposal Development\nPrepare two to three solution options using Vivant's standard packages.\nEnsure proposals are accurate, organized, and client-ready.\nCollaborate with the sales representative before presentation.\nTechnical Sales Support\nAttend proposal review meetings with prospects.\nAnswer technical questions regarding:\nFirewalls\nSwitches\nVLANs\nIP addressing\nWi-Fi design\nWAP placement and sizing\nNetwork topology\nSupport the sales representative throughout the sales cycle until the deal is signed.\nRequirements\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, including:\nFirewalls\nNetwork switches\nVLANs\nWireless networking\nWAP placement and sizing\nIP addressing\nBasic network design\nPrior sales experience with the ability to move opportunities through the sales process.\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\nExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities.\nDetail-oriented with strong analytical skills.\nComfortable following structured processes.\nPreferred\nExperience selling:\nConnectivity services\nTelecommunications\nManaged Service Provider (MSP) solutions\nNetworking solutions\nRelated technical products or services\nExperience supporting B2B sales.\nBenefits\nBase salary: 2,000 USD Max\nCommission\nFully remote\nCareer Growth\nSuccess in this role provides a clear path toward:\nAccount Executive\nSenior Technical Sales\nOther advanced sales leadership opportunities as Vivant continues to grow.\nHow We Work\nAt Vivant, trust, accountability, and ownership are central to our culture.
