This may involve tasks such as:\nOperate mill equipment safely and efficiently to prepare formulation samples requested by formulators and other colleagues, monitoringthe milling process to ensure it runs efficiently and meets requirements.\nSample characterization and analysis (particle size measurement, viscosity, etc.).\nSupport on mill machine maintenance.\nPerform scientific activities requiring keen observation, accuracy of calculations, completeness of data and general adherence to prescribed methods. \nMaintain up-to-date working records, such as lab notebooks and sample reports, by uploading, entering, organizing, and summarizing data, observations, and conclusions.\nMay be asked to assistother scientists in the development of new methods or in the improvement of existing ones. \nProvide training on SOPs and methods to co-op students. \nParticipate in regular laboratory clean up.\nAssistin receiving/shipping laboratory samples.\nFollow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.\nComplete assigned tasks within established timelines to support project schedules and team deliverables.\nPerform other job-related duties, as necessary.\nSkills & Experiences\nB.Sc. or equivalent in an applicable scientific discipline with 0-3 years experiencein a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical/Process Engineering, Materials Science, Biologyand/or Biological Sciences.\nGood experimental research skills and experience with data analysis\nGood computer skills including proficiencywith spreadsheets and MS Office programs\nFamiliarity with common laboratory instrumentation and techniques, and ability to quickly learn how to operatenew instruments and perform other procedures as required. \nExcellent time management and priority setting skills.
