The position combines systems engineering, navigation, sensor fusion, architecture, hardware/software integration and end-to-end verification.\nResponsibilities\nTranslate operational needs into system and subsystem requirements.Design architectures covering sensors, perception, navigation, state estimation, autonomy software and compute platforms.Develop and integrate Kalman filtering, nonlinear estimation and multi-sensor fusion solutions.Define interfaces between navigation, computer vision, control, simulation and hardware.Build and integrate hardware/software prototypes.Define verification strategies, performance metrics and test scenarios.Conduct model-, software- and processor-in-the-loop testing.Maintain requirements, architecture and verification traceability.Support technical reviews and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Requirements\nExperience in autonomous systems, navigation, robotics or complex hardware/software systems.Strong understanding of systems engineering.Knowledge of Kalman filtering, state estimation and sensor fusion.Understanding of guidance, navigation and control (GNC).Experience with requirements engineering and system architecture.Experience integrating software, sensors, hardware and simulation environments.Working knowledge of C++ and/or Python.Experience with system testing and verification.Aerospace or defence experience is beneficial but not essential.
