Given the requirements of the project and the site team, German language skills are essential.\nThe role requires a strong presence on site, with an expected working pattern of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. You will work closely with construction management, contractors and other project stakeholders to identify risks, maintain safety standards and support the safe progression of fit-out activities.\nMain responsibilities\nTake responsibility for HSE management across the pharmaceutical construction fit-out project.\nProvide visible and proactive health and safety leadership across the site.\nMonitor construction and fit-out activities to ensure compliance with relevant HSE requirements.\nCarry out regular site inspections and identify potential hazards, unsafe practices and areas requiring corrective action.\nSupport the project team in implementing appropriate health, safety and environmental procedures.\nReview and monitor risk assessments and method statements for ongoing works.\nEnsure appropriate control measures are in place before and during construction activities.\nAdvise site management, contractors and workers on HSE requirements and safe working practices.\nSupport the implementation and monitoring of site-specific HSE plans.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses and other safety-related events where required.\nAssist with the identification of root causes and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative measures.\nMonitor contractor compliance with site HSE procedures and standards.\nSupport toolbox talks, safety briefings and other HSE communications.\nMaintain accurate HSE documentation, inspection records and reports.\nEscalate significant HSE risks and issues to the appropriate project leadership.\nWork collaboratively with construction managers, contractors, engineers and other site stakeholders.\nPromote a strong safety culture across the project team.\nEnsure HSE considerations are incorporated into ongoing fit-out activities and project planning.\nSupport the project team in maintaining a safe working environment through to completion of the assignment.\nRequirements\nProven experience working as an HSE Manager, HSE Engineer or similar senior health and safety position.\nPrevious experience within construction, ideally including pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments.\nExperience supporting construction fit-out activities.\nRecognised SUVA qualification.\nStrong understanding of construction health and safety requirements.\nExperience carrying out site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.\nExperience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong understanding of safe systems of work and construction site controls.\nAbility to identify hazards, assess risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work confidently in a site-based environment and engage with stakeholders at all levels.\nFluent German language skills.\nAbility to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration of the assignment.\nAvailability for the full assignment through to 30 November.\nThe offer\nPosition: HSE Manager\nLocation: Switzerland\nProject: Pharmaceutical construction fit-out\nContract: Short-term contract\nDuration: Approximately 6 weeks\nEnd date: 30 November\nWorking hours: 40 hours per week\nDaily hours: 8 hours per day\nWorking arrangement: Site-based\nQualification: SUVA qualification required\nLanguage: German\nStart: Immediate / ASAP\nThis is a focused opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to support a pharmaceutical construction project during a key stage of fit-out.
