major, long-term infrastructure project in Antwerp, involving associated mechanical and electrical installations.\nThe overall project is expected to run for approximately 10 years and requires experienced HSE professionals to support the safe execution of complex construction and installation activities.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to join the project team on site in Antwerp, with a particular focus on the electrical and mechanical installation works associated with the wider road construction project.\nYou will be responsible for monitoring site activities, supporting contractors and construction teams, and ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with project HSE requirements, procedures, and applicable regulations.\nThis is a full-time site-based position, 5 days per week, initially offered on a 12-month contract, with the opportunity to continue on a major infrastructure programme expected to run for approximately 10 years.\nKey Responsibilities\nJoin the project team as HSE Supervisor, supporting the safe delivery of mechanical, electrical, and associated construction activities across the project.\nProvide day-to-day HSE supervision on site, with particular focus on mechanical and electrical installation activities\nMonitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project HSE procedures and applicable legislation\nConduct regular site inspections, safety walks, audits, and observations\nIdentify unsafe conditions, behaviours, and working practices and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented\nReview and monitor risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, and other HSE documentation\nSupport safe execution of electrical and mechanical installation works, including interfaces with wider road and civil construction activities\nMonitor high-risk activities and ensure appropriate controls and permit requirements are in place\nParticipate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions, and HSE meetings\nInvestigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions\nCoordinate closely with construction management, contractors, engineering teams, and other HSE personnel\nMonitor contractor HSE performance and escalate significant issues where required\nMaintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, observations, and follow-up actions\nPromote a strong safety culture across the project and encourage proactive reporting and intervention\nEnsure mechanical and electrical installation activities are completed in accordance with project safety standards and site requirements\nCandidate Requirements\nMinimum 5+ years of professional HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or comparable project environments\nPrevious experience working as an HSE Supervisor, Safety Supervisor, HSE Advisor, or similar site-based position\nExperience supporting mechanical and electrical installation works within a construction environment\nExperience on major infrastructure, road construction, industrial, or other large-scale construction projects is highly desirable\nStrong understanding of construction HSE practices, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and site inspections\nAbility to identify hazards and challenge unsafe working practices confidently and professionally\nExperience working with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction teams\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering\nStrong communication, coordination, and reporting skills\nFluent Dutch speaker\nAble to work effectively within an international and multidisciplinary project environment\nAvailable to
