In this role, you’ll create a nurturing, responsive classroom environment, lead developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and support each infant’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nProvide responsive, nurturing care for infants in a warm, engaging classroom environment.\n\nDesign and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based activities and learning experiences for infants.\n\nSupport infants in reaching key developmental milestones through exploration, play, movement, and sensory experiences.\n\nEstablish consistent routines that support infants’ individual needs, including feeding, sleeping, diapering, and transitions.\n\nBuild trusting, open relationships with families through consistent communication and partnership.\n\nMaintain a safe, clean, and inclusive infant classroom that encourages discovery and exploration.\n\nObserve and document children’s development and use observations to inform individualized learning experiences.\n\nCollaborate with co-teachers and leadership to uphold Vivvi’s mission, curriculum, and standards of care.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nHave 1-5 years of experience working in a Head Teacher capacity, preferably with infants.\n\nHold an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.\n\nMeet the appropriate education and credential requirements to serve as a Head Infant Teacher in New York.\n\nHave experience working directly with infants and a strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.\n\nValue and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.\n\nAre already or are willing to become CPR and First Aid certified.\n\nAre fully vaccinated against COVID.\n\nHave received or are open to receiving your flu vaccination (Vivvi Upper East Side only).\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working at Vivvi\nCompetitive Pay & Benefits\nHourly rates of $23-$29.40 based on level of education and experience\n\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\n\n401(k)\n\nCommuter benefits and tuition reimbursement\n\nProfessional Growth\nRobust onboarding, mentorship, and coaching\n\nOngoing professional development days\n\nOpportunities for promotion and leadership\n\nInspiring Learning Environments\nBeautiful, purpose-built classrooms with high-quality materials\n\nA collaborative community that values creativity, curiosity, and care\n\nChild-Centered Curriculum\nOur educators design learning experiences based on children’s interests, creating a classroom filled with exploration and joy.
