You will contribute to application enhancements, new feature development, operational support, and modernization initiatives while growing your technical and professional skills within a collaborative engineering team.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, test, debug, and maintain software applications, APIs, and backend services.\nParticipate in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise applications and cloud-based solutions.\nCollaborate with senior engineers, product managers, quality engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.\nDevelop and enhance REST APIs, application integrations, and data-access components.\nAssist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues while learning operational support and incident management practices.\nContribute to automated testing efforts, including unit, integration, and regression testing.\nParticipate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality and engineering skills.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, source control processes, and automated deployment practices.\nImplement application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting techniques to improve reliability and performance.\nLearn and apply engineering best practices related to security, scalability, maintainability, and software quality.\nContribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration activities.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while ensuring software quality and correctness.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.\nContinuously learn new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices to support personal and professional growth.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.\n0-3 years of software engineering, software development, or application development experience.\nExperience with object-oriented programming concepts and software development fundamentals.\nExperience developing applications using C#, .NET, Java, or similar programming languages preferred.\nFamiliarity with web services, REST APIs, or backend application development preferred.\nBasic understanding of relational databases and SQL preferred.\nExposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud preferred.\nFamiliarity with source control systems such as Git and modern software development workflows preferred.\nExperience with academic, internship, open-source, or personal software development projects preferred.\nUnderstanding of software testing concepts and quality assurance practices preferred.\nInterest in learning cloud-native development, microservices, integrations, and modern engineering practices.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies preferred.\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.\nEagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow as a software engineer.\nEstimated Hiring Range:\nAt Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
