You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, architects, data engineers, and business teams to advance modern quality practices across web, API, database, accessibility, security, performance, and AI-enabled applications. You will also contribute to an AI-DLC Software Factory model that uses structured work items, repository guidance, automated implementation, pull requests, testing, and continuous feedback.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop quality strategies for applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and user experiences.\nAnalyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and testability concerns.\nCreate and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, integrations, and data validation.\nDevelop functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, end-to-end, and performance tests as appropriate.\nAutomate web application testing using Playwright or comparable testing frameworks.\nValidate REST APIs, authentication, authorization, workflows, data exchanges, and system integrations.\nVerify application data and processing results at the user interface, API, and database levels.\nApply test-design techniques such as boundary-value analysis, equivalence partitioning, decision tables, state transitions, and pairwise testing.\nManage test data and test environments needed to support reliable and repeatable validation.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates for pull requests and deployments.\nInvestigate test failures, facilitate defect triage, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.\nVerify software fixes and perform regression testing to prevent recurring defects.\nEvaluate accessibility, security, performance, observability, and operational readiness throughout development.\nTest AI-enabled and agentic capabilities for accuracy, consistency, relevance, safety, explainability, and appropriate behavior.\nQualifications:\nRelevant degree preferred.\n2 or more years of relevant experience required.\nExperience developing and maintaining automated tests for web applications required.\nExperience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or a comparable test-automation framework required.\nExperience testing REST APIs, system integrations, and distributed application workflows required.\nExperience with test planning, test-case design, defect management, and regression testing required.\nExperience validating application data using SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL required.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows preferred.\nKnowledge of software development, software testing, and defect-management lifecycles preferred.\nUnderstanding of authentication, authorization, application security, and secure testing practices preferred.\nExperience analyzing requirements and identifying risks, gaps, dependencies, and testability concerns preferred.\nFamiliarity with accessibility, security, performance, observability, or operational-readiness testing preferred.\nExperience testing AI-enabled applications, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, or AI-generated outputs preferred.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, accountability, and attention-to-detail skills.\nEstimated Hiring Range:\nAt Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
