You will drive sourcing and spend optimization strategies that align with organizational goals, strengthen client partnerships, and maximize the effectiveness of Vizient’s group purchasing organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement category strategies and ensure alignment with the Spend Management Delivery team and client priorities.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild and lead a high-performing team of Spend Managers focused on solving client challenges.\n\nPartner with Spend Executives and senior leaders to align support with client workplans and drive client satisfaction.\n\nEnsure effective implementation of Vizient’s strategic programs (e.g., Impact Standardization, Novaplus).\n\nOptimize use of Vizient tools, systems, and resources to maximize client value.\n\nCoach Spend Managers on Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to clearly articulate historical performance and future category strategies.\n\nConduct skill-building sessions to strengthen Spend Managers’ ability to lead client discussions.\n\nDrive performance improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and embed leading practices.\n\nRecommend enhancements to standard work and automation to Spend Management Delivery executives.\n\nDirect and oversee consistent adoption of standard work across the team.\n\nContribute expertise to the development of Spend Manager training curriculum.\n\nOwn accountability for team performance, budget management, and financial outcomes.\n\nQualifications:\nRelevant degree preferred.\n\n10 or more years of relevant performance improvement, operations or healthcare related experience required.\n\nProven leadership ability with experience building high-performing teams, coaching talent, and fostering growth through collaboration and partnership.\n\nStrong executive presence with demonstrated success presenting to and working with senior management.\n\nExcellent project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to lead complex initiatives and drive results.\n\nStrategic and independent thinker with the ability to align initiatives to client and organizational priorities.\n\nSkilled motivator and team builder who can inspire, lead, and support others to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.\n\nHybrid role requiring three days per week in office, based in either Irving, TX or Chicago, IL.\n\nWillingness to travel.\n\nEstimated Hiring Range:\nAt Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
