You will collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, quality engineering, security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software. You will leverage modern cloud technologies, automated delivery practices, and AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery while contributing to engineering standards, operational excellence, application modernization, and continuous innovation.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications, backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based components that support healthcare supply chain and procurement workflows.\nBuild and support cloud-native applications, containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.\nDevelop secure and scalable REST APIs and integration services that connect internal applications, third-party platforms, and external systems.\nDesign and implement asynchronous and event-driven workflows using modern messaging and integration patterns.\nCollaborate with product management, architecture, quality engineering, security, cloud operations, and business teams to translate requirements into production-ready technical solutions.\nParticipate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, estimation, implementation planning, and application modernization initiatives.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while ensuring code quality, security, maintainability, and reliability.\nValidate, test, and optimize software solutions, including AI-generated code, to ensure performance, scalability, security, and production readiness.\nDevelop automated unit, integration, and regression tests and contribute to reliable continuous integration and delivery practices.\nImplement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational support practices to improve application reliability and performance.\nTroubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nApply engineering standards and design principles related to testing, security, scalability, resiliency, performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability.\nIdentify and address technical debt, security vulnerabilities, outdated dependencies, and opportunities to simplify or modernize existing applications.\nSupport integration capabilities involving enterprise applications, procurement systems, supplier ecosystems, and related third-party technologies.\nMentor team members through code reviews, technical collaboration, documentation, and knowledge sharing.\nQualifications:\nRelevant degree preferred.\n5 or more years of software engineering experience required.\nStrong C# and .NET development experience, including building production backend services, web applications, and REST APIs, required.\nExperience designing and developing enterprise applications using object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and modern application architecture practices required.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure or a similar public cloud platform required.\nExperience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, stored procedures, and application data-access patterns required.\nExperience building and integrating REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, or enterprise integration services highly preferred.\nExperience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, messaging technologies, or cloud-based integration patterns preferred.\nExperience with modern front-end development frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar technologies preferred.\nExperience with containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated deployment practices preferred.\nExperience with automated unit testing, integration testing, code-quality tools, and secure development practices preferred.\nExperience implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and production support practices preferred.\nExperience with infrastructure automation or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or similar technologies preferred.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated code in production environments preferred.\nExperience modernizing legacy applications, reducing technical debt, and improving application reliability and maintainability preferred.\nExperience integrating enterprise applications with ERP, procurement, supplier, financial, or other third-party systems preferred.\nExperience working with healthcare technology, supply chain, procurement, or other regulated business applications highly preferred.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills required.\nExperience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating across engineering, product, architecture, quality, security, and operations preferred.\nEstimated Hiring Range:\nAt Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
