And if you are new to healthcare, you will still thrive here-this role is designed for exceptional negotiators who excel in complex discussions, think critically, and lead with confidence.\nResponsibilities:\nLead negotiation of complex contract terms and conditions and structure innovative solutions that meet client needs.\nPartner with Legal to draft, refine, and validate contract language for accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.\nManage the full sourcing lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, RFP design, bid evaluation, supplier selection, and implementation support.\nDevelop sourcing strategies based on spend analysis, market trends, benchmarking, and supplier dynamics.\nIdentify and propose cost-savings initiatives grounded in financial analysis and market intelligence.\nOversee contract maintenance, including amendments, renewals, compliance evaluation, and performance monitoring.\nUse analytical tools and contracting platforms to support workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and savings tracking.\nPresent negotiation updates, sourcing strategies, risks, and recommendations to clients and internal leadership.\nBuild and maintain strong partnerships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nCommunicate complex strategies and negotiations clearly and effectively to executive-level audiences.\nQualifications:\nRelevant degree preferred. Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.\n5 or more years of experience in Healthcare, Clinical or Pharmacy required.\nExpertise in drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex terms and conditions.\nProven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives.\nStrong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.\nExceptional verbal communication and presentation skills, which are critical for facilitating supplier discussions, clearly articulating contract changes, and ensuring alignment among internal stakeholders and clients throughout the sourcing and negotiation process.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.\nThis role follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office. Office locations include Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; and Centennial, CO.\nWillingness to travel.\nEstimated Hiring Range:\nAt Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
