# Safety Coordinator

VMAC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen the organization’s safety culture. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this position is responsible for coordinating safety training, maintaining and continuously improving the Safety Management System, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislative and accreditation requirements. Key responsibilities include educating coworkers on safety policies and procedures, developing and delivering supplemental safety training, and providing guidance and support to all levels of the organization to promote safe work practices and advance ongoing safety initiatives. The Safety Coordinator will support the development and continuous improvement of safety programs, processes, and tools to foster a proactive, effective, and sustainable safety culture. As Safety Coordinator you will: Support VMAC's return-to-work (RTW Program), claims and injury management, while maintaining full confidentiality of worker documentation. Manage the maintenance of the OSSE certification sustainment and audit process and plan for required or suggested improvements to maintain certification. Support company safety policies in alignment
