The candidate will primarily assist in building backend services,REST APIs, and database layers while also handling frontend components to deliver end-to-endfeatures.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js\nModel, manage, and optimize MongoDB collections, write efficient queries, and handle data relationships\nImplement authentication and authorization flows (JWT, sessions, middleware)\nHandle API error handling, validation, and input sanitization\nWrite unit tests and ensure backend code reliability\nAssist in frontend development using React / Next.js to consume APIs and renderdata\nCollaborate with the team to design and implement new features end-to-end\nDebug performance bottlenecks (query optimization, response times, memory usage)\nParticipate in code reviews, stand-ups, and learning sessions\nWork with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development\n\nRequirements\nUnderstanding of Node.js (event loop, async/await, streams, middleware)\nHands-on experience with Express.js for building REST APIs\nSolid knowledge of MongoDB (CRUD, aggregation, indexing, schema design)\nBasic knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) — closures, promises, event loop\nUnderstanding of React / Next.js (component-based development, API integration)\nFamiliarity with Git/version control\nBasic understanding of data modeling and relational vs. document databases\nWillingness to learn and take ownership\n\nPreferred (Good To Have)\nExperience building REST APIs from scratch\nUnderstanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth, sessions, middleware)\nExperience with TypeScript\nSmall personal or academic projects involving backend logic (not just UI)\n\nEligibility\nPursuing or recently completed B.
