Legal Counsel or the Head of Legal.\nWhat you’ll be doing day-to-day \nProvide timely advice on straightforward legal and regulatory issues, applying playbooks, precedent positions and risk guidance\nReview, advise on and negotiate customer, supplier and operational contracts on standard and third-party terms independently within agreed boundaries.\nIdentify non-standard or higher-risk positions and escalate with clear options, recommendations and impact assessment\nPartner with sales, commercial, operational, finance and delivery teams to support transactions and business objectives\nCreate or update guidance notes, clause positions, checklists and FAQs for recurring legal issues\nManage allocated matters from intake to completion, including status updates, document control and closing actions.\nWhat you’ll bring to this role \nQualified lawyer with 2-5 years PQE, preferably including in-house or commercial contracting experience\nAbility to work independently but know when to escalate\nStrong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills\nStrong commercial judgement and practical risk-based advice\nStrong communication skills including across a varied stakeholder group\nOrganised approach to matter management and competing priorities\nComfort with legal workflow, CRM and document management systems\nAbility to adapt to new and complex areas of law and regulation\nAbility to learn
