This role focuses on ensuring data integrity, scalability, performance optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work within an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams while supporting business requirements for the German market. The position provides opportunities to contribute to innovation, database modernisation, and technology transformation initiatives.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, develop, and maintain efficient database schemas, tables, and relationships to support application requirements. \nOptimise database performance, stability, query execution, indexing strategies, and resource utilisation. \nDevelop and enhance PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions for automation and data processing.\nMonitor production and non-production environments, identify issues, and implement timely resolutions. \nInvestigate emerging technologies and contribute recommendations for architectural improvements. \nCollaborate with application development teams to integrate database logic and support application functionality. \nSupport Agile delivery through active participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and user story execution.\nPromote innovation through the adoption of new tools, methods, and technical standards. \nWho you are\nStrong expertise in SQL, advanced SQL, PL/SQL programming, query optimisation, and database design principles.\nExperience troubleshooting complex database issues and delivering practical solutions. \nAbility to maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and code quality. \nKnowledge of dynamic query development and automated job scheduling. \nUnderstanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. \nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux scripting for automation activities. \nExperience with version control platforms such as Git. \nBasic knowledge of Java and database integration concepts. \nKnowledge of Oracle Analytical Server or reporting tools is advantageous. \nStrong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. \nExperience working effectively within international and multicultural teams.\nGoogle Cloud certification is desirable. \nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
