This role focuses on supporting Vodafone services through robust DevOps practices, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. The individual will work across infrastructure and application layers, handling incident management, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement within a 24/7 operational model.\nWhat you will do\nSupport and operate Vodafone services and underlying DevOps components\nDefine and implement monitoring strategies aligned with KPIs to ensure service availability and performance\nProactively monitor systems to identify anomalies and resolve issues before impact\nManage incident troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers, collaborating with project teams\nImplement backup and restore strategies and ensure operational readiness\nSupport software rollouts and deployments using appropriate automation and release strategies\nHandle PBI processes including resolution, coordination, and reporting\nProvide 24/7 on-call support based on defined support models\nWho you are\nExperienced in Unix/Linux environments with working knowledge of Java\nStrong expertise in shell scripting and Python scripting\nProficient with GitHub and GitHub Actions for change control and automation\nHands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm\nFamiliar with AWS cloud environments including setup, scripting, and management\nKnowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques\nUnderstanding of SQL, PL/SQL, or NoSQL databases such as Influx, PostgreSQL (Timescale), or MongoDB\nSkilled in monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or Instana\nExperience in data analysis tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace\nGood understanding of web technologies including HTTP, SSL, headers, APIs, and IP concepts\nKnowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Incident and Problem Management\nFamiliar with configuration management and identifying security vulnerabilities (e.g. Qualys)\nExposure to Kafka/Redpanda cluster deployment and management\nStrong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills\nExperience working in cross-cultural and Agile delivery environments\nA proactive, quality-focused individual with a continuous improvement mindset\nNot a Perfect Fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
