Be part of it and let's shape the world of tomorrow together.\nWhat to Expect:\nYou will be as Senior Expert Fixed Access Network Engineering (m/w/d) responsible for implementing the goals, specifications, and business processes in the Fixed Access Engineering & Optimization team.\nYou will lead the evolution of network management access toward an SDN-based paradigm.\nYou will design and implement scalable optical fixed access solutions for the consumer and enterprise sectors.\nYou will develop fiber access connectivity for all market segments in Fiber Access technologies (i.e. GPON, XGSPON, and any new PON flavours and P2P Ethernet fiber) Design and process requirements and evaluations of supplier tenders, whereby your projects are across Vodafone Group.\nYou are involved in the choice and control of suppliers and take over the technical contract conditions.\nYou will provide technical leadership to external team members in the Fixed Access Engineering & Optimization team.\nYou will prepare budget estimates according to the requirements of the fixed access network.\nYou will have very good knowledge of packet-switched and circuit-switched networks.\nYou will have very good knowledge of access technologies such as GPON, new xPON, and xDSL.\nYou will have analytical thinking and functional understanding.\nYou will have high stress tolerance and flexibility.\nYou move confidently in an English-speaking environment.\nWhat Sets You Apart:\nA degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.\nVery good knowledge of packet-switched and circuit-switched networks.\nVery good knowledge of access technologies such as GPON, new xPON, and xDSL.\nVery good knowledge of fixed access technologies (such as GPON, XGSPON and new PON flavours as well as P2P Ethernet fiber) with special emphasis on SDN (Software Defined Network).\nExperience in handling with protocols and interfaces, especially southbound interfaces between OSS and SDN-C (e.g. XML, JSON, SOAP, RESTconf, Netconf, YANG, Openflow, Kafka, Corba etc.).\nBe competent on Standard Web Services commonly used in the OSS /SDN-C environment (Keycloak, Grafana, MariaDB etc.).\nAnalytical thinking and functional understanding.\nAssertiveness, communication and cooperation skills in a team as well as good organizational and conceptual skills.\nHigh stress tolerance and flexibility.\nVery good written and spoken English skills.\nThis position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).\nYour strengths and experience count.
