You will bring in your technical expertise; understanding of the business environment the customer and Vodafone operate in, and propose solutions based on Vodafone’s managed connectivity and IoT solution portfolio. You will drive the solution from a pre-sales consultative stage through implementation and deployment. This is a customer-facing role, and you will be required to travel to customer sites.\nWork closely with regional Country Manager and Sales Team in pre-sale activities and qualification of sales leads\nAct as a “technical consultant” to Vodafone’s Enterprise customers. Advise, propose and design solutions in line with customer needs, requirements and expectations.\nAssess technical solution complexity and deliverability within Vodafone’s IoT platforms as well as network capability both at a Global and regional levels\nLead presentation of IoT solution designs and workshops based on Vodafone’s IoT solution catalogue, clearly highlighting differentiators of Vodafone against competitors from a product and technical perspective\nSupport the sales process from pre-sales and qualification stages, through RFP / bid and contract sign-up, all the way to implementation, deployment and successful acceptance testing and sign-off\nProduce and maintain technical documentation aligned with the requirements of the customer and the capability of the business, and achieve customer technical solution approval\nAble to produce clear and succinct RFI / RFP answers for winning bid responses\nSupport customers during deployments, testing, in-life during new feature deployments, and manage technical change requests\nLiaise with internal delivery teams or technology partners driving solution design and testing through to completion\nMeet the customer when and where needed - up to 40% travel within Italy and occasionally Europe\nWho you are\nEssential\nEducated to BSc or MSc or an IT/EE (or equivalent)\nExcellent Italian and English, both oral and written\nKnowledge of mobile network architectures with an understanding cellular IoT technologies (LTE-M, NB-IoT, 4G/5G, roaming, private APNs, ,,,)\nKnowledge of data communication, IP networking, VPNs, security, cloud integration, APIs.\nCustomer relationship management skills with ability to interact comfortably up to Senior level\nA self-starter with a determination to succeed\nProactive driven, can-do attitude\nStrong communication and decision-making skills - ability to balance conflicting interests\nStrong commercial management skills including contractual and commercial negotiation experience as technical lead\nExperience in complex change management in a technological context\nTeam player, strong influence and relationship management skills\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible to adapt\nDesired\nPrior Experience in pre-sales role\nKnowledge of the broader IoT market and technology landscape\nExperience in a Global Systems Integrator (GSI) or multinational Mobile Network Operator (MNO or MVNO) is advantageous.\nKnowledge of electronic device design, testing and manufacturing as well as global supply chain\nUnderstanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services concepts\nPreferred international experience with well-developed cultural awareness\nAdditional language advantageous (Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, others)\nNot a perfect fit?\nWorried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
