You will analyse business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; design and execute functional and integration tests; build and maintain reusable automated tests; perform API testing; support CI/CD execution; and manage defects through to closure.\nThe role requires a sound understanding of SDLC, STLC, test-design techniques and the defect lifecycle, together with practical experience working in Agile teams. You will collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and proactively manage quality risks.\nWhat you’ll do\nAnalyse business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios, dependencies and quality risks.\nDesign, document and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data for functional and integration testing.\nPerform manual testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity and exploratory testing.\nDesign, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts for suitable functional and regression scenarios.\nIdentify appropriate automation candidates and improve automation coverage while avoiding unnecessary or low-value automation.\nPerform API and integration testing, validating requests, responses, error handling and end-to-end workflows.\nExecute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines and investigate test failures.\nManage defect identification, logging, prioritisation, retesting and closure, providing clear evidence and reproducible steps.\nConduct root-cause analysis of test failures, distinguishing product defects from test-data, environment and automation issues.\nCollaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders to establish clear acceptance criteria and embed quality throughout delivery.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.\nMaintain requirements-to-test traceability and appropriate coverage of critical business journeys.\nTrack and communicate test execution status, defect trends, regression results and automation coverage.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of test processes, automation frameworks, reusable components and quality-engineering standards.\nSupport test-environment and test-data readiness, highlighting dependencies that could affect delivery.\nProactively identify quality risks and improvement opportunities, helping teams prevent defects as well as detect them.\nWho you are\nYou hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or have equivalent practical experience.\nYou have 5yrs- 6yrs hands-on experience in manual and automation testing across the software development lifecycle.\nYou understand functional, integration, regression, system and exploratory testing.\nYou have practical experience developing and maintaining reusable automated test scripts.\nYou have experience with API testing and validating system integrations.\nYou understand SDLC, STLC, the defect lifecycle and test-design techniques.\nYou have experience using defect-tracking and test-management tools.\nYou understand Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.\nYou can apply analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to investigate test failures and quality issues.\nYou communicate effectively and collaborate across development, product, business and technology teams.\nYou have experience with defect identification, reporting, retesting and root-cause analysis.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
